I came across this book long after it had been released. When I first started researching medical marijuana and how it works inside the body, I did a lot of internet searches. I bought quite a few books online at Amazon. And yet, I do not recall seeing this book.
After seeing one of the photos, I discovered that there was a YouTube video explaining the process and showing off some of the work. I immediately knew that I had to have this book. Check out the YouTube video.
First off, I was immediately disappointed by the size of the book. It’s small. And I have to own my disappointment because I did not read the product dimensions provided: 6.9 x 0.6 x 6.9 inches. In my mind, I had an idea that this would be a coffee table book. There is nothing anywhere in the description or video that say it is a big book, I guess I just wanted it to be a big book. However, once I began looking through the book, I quickly forgot my disappointment.
The book itself provides gorgeous photos. The initial photos are black and white and then the author colors them by hand. The colors are selected by him as an artist’s representation to make the photos stand out. In my opinion, he does an amazing job by selecting colors that appeal to the eye and represent each of the cannabinoids well. For instance, the THC is a bright, happy pinkish color.
This book is beautiful and informative. It’s one thing to learn about cannabinoids and their effects on the body. It’s another to see them on the plants, vibrant and colorful. While I expected a coffee table sized book, the small paperback format is easy to handle and the photo quality is fantastic. It’s a great tool for learning and understanding cannabis. It would also make a great gift for the cannabis connoisseur in your life.
